USA Truck, Inc. maintains a modernized tractor fleet that includes both the International 9400i and the ProStar models, along with the Kenworth T660 model tractor. Both International and Kenworth models are equipped with the Cummins ISX engine, at least 72 inches from the seat to the inside back of cab, air-ride suspensions, anti-lock brakes, power steering and cruise control.
New tractors are being purchased that are equipped with Eaton UltraShift automatic transmissions, aluminum wheels, air sliding 5th wheels, power invertors, power windows and door locks, tilt and telescopic steering and a roll stability system that includes traction control. These components and features are part of a commitment to ensure safety and comfort, which are top priorities. Each tractor is also equipped with a mobile communication device and in-cab e-mail through the use of CabCARD. At December 31, 2007, USA Truck, Inc. operated 2,499 Company tractors with an average fleet age of 25 months.
The standard trailer is a dry van. Trailers are 53 feet in length, 102 inches wide, and have an air or spring suspension system. As of December 31, 2007, USA Truck, Inc. operated 7,024 Company trailers with an average fleet age of 43 months.
