Greg Lutes Appointed Vice President and General Manager, Dedicated Services

November 20, 2014 – USA Truck (Nasdaq: USAK), a leading transportation and logistics provider headquartered in Van Buren, Ark., today announced the expansion of its Dedicated Freight Team with the hiring of Greg B. Lutes as vice president and general manager.
Mr. Lutes brings extensive experience in both the shipper and the provider sides of the capacity solutions industry to USA Truck. His career includes 18 years with Ryder Integrated Logistics, where he most recently served as director of customer logistics. He also served as director of transportation at AutoZone and vice president of operations at Greatwide Logistics, where he provided dedicated contract carriage and freight services for a wide variety of industries nationwide and managed 1,400 employees and owner operators. Prior to joining USA Truck, Mr. Lutes was the vice president of operations at Dedicated Transportation Solutions, Inc.

In another step to support the expansion of USA Truck’s dedicated freight operation, the company hired Steve Kendall as vice president of dedicated sales. Mr. Kendall’s 25 years of wide-ranging industry experience include work with UPS, Emery Worldwide and Con-Way Multimodal. He most recently served as vice president of business development-transportation logistics services at Jacobson Companies.
