USA Truck CFO Michael Borrows Selected for Leadership Fort Smith

July 23, 2015 – USA Truck, Inc. (NASDAQ:USAK), a leading capacity solutions provider headquartered in Van Buren, AR, is pleased to announce that Michael Borrows, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has been selected for the Leadership Fort Smith Class of 2016.

The Fort Smith Regional Chamber of Commerce conducts Leadership Fort Smith. Its purpose is to provide a program that will build a strong leadership pool for the Greater Fort Smith region, motivate emerging and existing leaders, and develop the participants for community leadership and decision-making by exposing them to the realities, opportunities and challenges in our metropolitan area.

Mr. Borrows joined USA Truck in September 2014. He has extensive experience in the transportation and finance sectors, and recently was elected to the national Board of Directors of Financial Executives International (FEI), the leading advocate for the views of corporate financial management.

“Being relatively new to the area, I am very appreciative of this unique opportunity provided by Leadership Fort Smith to learn, connect and lead with other dedicated professionals in our community,” Mr. Borrows said. “Leadership is an ongoing practice and as leaders in our various fields, we owe it to each other to be the best leaders that we can be. I am proud to represent the USA Truck family and I am looking forward to better understanding the various ways we can participate in lifting up our community.”

“An effort is made each year to build a diverse, well-rounded class representative of the Fort Smith region,” said Susan Krafft, Director of Leadership Fort Smith. “This year is no exception, as we have a great class representing a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences and professions. We expect the Class of 2016 and LFS Alumni to do great things for the betterment of our region.”
